We are pleased to welcome you to our brand-new website, designed to foster collaboration and communication between FIIRE stakeholders. We created the Firefighter Health and Safety Collaborative (FFHSC) as a way for Fire Departments to share policies, procedures, best practices, and resources on firefighter safety and health issues. Here are the different sections and what you can expect to find underneath:
Health and Safety Sections
Underneath the “Health” and “Safety” tabs, you will find information and resources regarding a variety of fire fighter-specific topics, such as Nutrition, Fitness, Behavioral Health, Decon, and more. As the collaborative grows, we hope to expand these sections as were able to provide more resources and information.
Docs & Resources and Media Gallery
Under the “FFHSC” tab, you will find a Docs & Resources page. This is the one-stop shop for any and all material collected by the FFHSC. Resources are organized categorically and updated frequently. If you have a resource you would like to see on the website, feel free to complete the Content Submission Form. In addition to the Docs & Resources page, we’ve also compiled a Media Library that contains video resources pertaining to fire fighter health and safety.
FIIRE Initiative and Forum
Underneath the “FIIRE Initiative” section, you can find out more information about the initiative itself in addition to a private forum created for FIIRE participants to exchange ideas and participate in discussion. The forum is password protected, but can be accessed by creating a login using the “Member Log In” feature in the upper-right. Once approved by FFHSC admin, you will be able to participate in the forum.
News & Events
If you’re looking for announcements, articles, or events, this is where you’ll find them. Dates and times for FIIRE and FFHSC meetings will be posted here.
Feel free to take a look around the new website and we hope to see your participation.
